Job summary

The KYO Group is seeking a skilled Technician to ensure that industrial electrical and electromechanical equipment operates to design standards. This role requires collaboration with engineers, technicians and other groups to design, analyze and implement solutions.

You will modify PLC programs from schematics, perform diagnostics, testing, calibration, installation and preventive maintenance across plant equipment, and coordinate repairs and spares.

Qualifications

• Industrial/electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience required.
• Strong ability to design, analyze, and engineer solutions with technicians and engineers.
• Experience decoding and modifying small PLC programs from schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and engineer solutions with other technicians, engineers, and other groups.
• Modify PLC programs by reading schematics and applying changes.
• Test, calibrate, install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on electronic and electromechanical equipment.
• Provide advanced knowledge to restore equipment operation and process integrity.
• Support maintainers, operators and engineers to fix malfunctions and improve performance.
• Coordinate repair of electronic equipment removed from the field, track repairs, and stock spare parts.
• Engage in training to develop skills and knowledge.
• Lead installation, testing and commissioning of new capital equipment.
• Interface with suppliers and OEMs to repair equipment quickly.
• Perform project work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
