Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the PPTT Programs & Engineering team, supporting the full scale trainer for the Next Generation Training Program. You will contribute to electrical and systems engineering, design of the PPTT platform, and project delivery at Bettis or Kesselring sites.

Responsibilities include independent work across the lifecycle, design reviews with suppliers, and on-site testing and integration of PLC-based I/O and network systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related engineering field.
  • Experience with electrical design reviews and supplier interfacing.
  • Background in electrical and systems engineering of complex trainer environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct independent work throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Perform design reviews with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Support on-site hardware inspections and testing at supplier sites.
  • Design, procure, install, test, and maintain the PPTT platform and I/O systems.
