Job summary

EarthStream Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the assessment and delivery of major data center and mission‑critical projects. This hands‑on role covers design reviews through to construction, site inspections and commissioning.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, data center operators, contractors and third‑party providers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the assessment and delivery of major data center and mission-critical projects.
• This is a hands‑on technical role covering everything from design reviews and technical due diligence through to construction, site inspections and commissioning.
• You’ll be working with engineering teams, data center operators, contractors, consultants and third‑party data center providers to make sure electrical systems are properly designed, installed and capable of meeting the required performance and reliability standards.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation for data center projects.
• Assess electrical infrastructure as part of technical due diligence and site evaluations.
• Review contractor and consultant submissions, including RFIs, equipment submittals and design changes.
• Check designs against project requirements, engineering standards and operational requirements.
• Review the design and performance of critical electrical systems, including HV, MV and LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, batteries, ATS/STS and associated systems.
• Support reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) assessments for critical electrical infrastructure.
• Identify design issues, technical risks and opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.
• Work with senior engineers to prepare technical reports, presentations and supporting project documentation.
• Provide technical support to operations teams when questions arise around electrical systems, drawings or specifications.
• Help develop and improve engineering standards, processes and technical assessment procedures.
• Visit active construction sites to check electrical installations and make sure work is being delivered in line with approved designs and specifications.
• Support key construction and commissioning activities, including being on site during critical project stages.
• Work with contractors, commissioning teams, consultants and vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Build good working relationships with third‑party data center providers, developers and delivery partners.
