We have an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our Mission Critical/Data Center design team. The client has data center design projects nationwide and seeks someone with deep knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and design practices for state‑of‑the‑art Tier III and Tier IV facilities. Ranked in the Top 10 in Data Center Design by ENR magazine, the role offers the opportunity to work on nationally recognized projects alongside industry leaders.

Job Summary

Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems with our Data Center group, with experience in the following areas:

• Protective relay applications and appropriate relay settings for medium‑voltage power systems including parallel standby generators and utility‑generator plant interconnection applications
• Power system analysis software for medium and low voltage power systems, e.g., short‑circuit, arc‑flash, and time‑current coordination studies
• Generator control sequences for large parallel standby generator plants, including load priority, load acquisition, and utility‑generator paralleling with soft load ramping
• Written technical specifications for medium‑voltage switchgear, standby generator equipment, uninterruptible power systems, low‑voltage draw‑out switchgear, and more
• Field testing requirements for medium and low voltage power systems, including factory witness testing, site acceptance testing, and commissioning of critical power systems such as parallel generator plants, UPS systems, and switchgear PLC controls
• Well‑rounded working knowledge of the NEC

Position Requirements – Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a four‑year college or university
• Minimum of five years of experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or team‑lead role
• Professional Engineer registration
• Full understanding of electrical systems for mission‑critical facilities
• Authorized to work in the United States
