Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) represents a client, a leading architecture and engineering firm, seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Department and support multidisciplinary project teams.

The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of experience, an ABET-accredited degree, and NC PE eligibility or reciprocity within three months. You will design and oversee electrical systems, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects, PMs, and contractors on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer in NC or reciprocity within 3 months.
• Experience in building system design including power dist, lighting, grounding and EPP.
• Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, or AGI; knowledge of sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex electrical systems for diverse projects.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, PMs and contractors.
• Lead project teams and deliver design packages to agencies and institutions.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

What's the Job?

• Design and implement complex electrical systems for diverse projects across multiple markets.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including architecture, engineering, project managers, and contractors.
• Lead project teams by delivering comprehensive engineering design packages to clients such as federal, state, and local agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions.
• Provide engineering oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, fostering professional growth and development.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What's Needed?

• 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina or ability to obtain through reciprocity within three months of start date.
• Experience in building system design including power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding, lightning protection, and emergency power systems.
• Familiarity with system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or AGI, and knowledge of sustainable design practices.
