Manpower Group (USA) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our AE client’s Engineering Department in Virginia. This role supports diverse projects across markets, requiring strong problem-solving and proactive collaboration with architects, engineers, PMs, and contractors.

You will lead design packages, mentor junior staff, and assist in construction and commissioning, with a competitive salary and broad benefits including ESOP and health options.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in building systems design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Registered Professional Engineer in VA or reciprocity within three months.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding, and emergency power systems.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex electrical engineering problems while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting diverse projects across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Utilize experience and technical skills to solve complex electrical engineering problems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including architecture, engineering, project managers, and contractors to deliver comprehensive design solutions.
• Lead project teams by providing engineering oversight, delivering detailed design packages, and supporting diverse clients such as government agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and designers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring quality, accuracy, and effective communication with all project stakeholders.

What's Needed?

• 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on building systems design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Engineer in VA or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within three months of start date.
• Experience in power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding, lightning protection, and emergency power systems.
• Familiarity with system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or AGI, and knowledge of sustainable design practices.
