GL Staffing is seeking for a Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting manufacturing systems and processes related to the production of electronic and frequency control components. This role focuses on improving efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness through technical innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Pay Rate: 65k - 75k a year (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes such as soldering, welding, lead forming, and assembly
• Develop and manage production-level documentation and procedures
• Use engineering tools and statistical methods to monitor and enhance process performance
• Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to streamline operations and reduce costs
• Collaborate on new product designs to ensure they meet manufacturability and quality standards
• Recommend design approaches and material selections for machining, joining, and finishing
• Specify and procure tools, equipment, and supplies for manufacturing operations
• Plan and justify capital equipment investments
• Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient product development
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May assist and provide guidance to interns or junior staff as needed

Qualification Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be eligible to work with ITAR-controlled data

Preferred:

• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with hand-assembled soldered components
• Experience with AutoCAD, Minitab, or Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Office and light manufacturing floor setting
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Minimal lifting required
