JOB DESCRIPTION
A nationwide environmental engineering firm is looking to hire an Electrical Field Technician to support the growth of their Electrical System Studies group. This company's sole focus is water and wastewater treatment plants - this can include (but is not limited to) retrofits, major plant expansions, and new builds, all continuing to further the partnership that the company has with both repeat and new municipal clients. The responsibilities of this role will fall into 3 categories: site data collection, analyzing and reporting on site data, and modeling simulations to identify risk/hazards and recommend systematic changes. This role will first require that the candidate travel between 25%-50% of the time, for 2-3 day trips to visit a plant (accompanied by an electrician) to collect data through measurement, photos, and observation writing. From there, this person will come back from the field, organize their findings, and generate digestible reports. Lastly, this person will use tools like eTap, SKN, and EZPower to generate simulation models to identify risks and hazards. This role will require someone who is comfortable around large, high voltage, industrial power systems. Being detail-oriented, a quick learner, and a strong communicator will be crucial. This person would preferably be located in one of the following states (AZ, CA, FL or CO), with Colorado being an ideal location. Remote capabilities may be possible, but the team strongly prefers a candidate who can work a hybrid schedule in one of their many offices. This role is a direct placement position, paying anywhere between $25-$35/hr.
