C M T A Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of MEP design experience and expertise in Revit and AutoCAD. You'll play a key role in designing systems for various projects and collaborating with a talented engineering team.

This full-time position offers a salary range of $100,000 - $130,000, plus performance-based bonuses. The role is onsite in Minneapolis, providing stability and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with MEP design focusing on technology systems.
  • FE registration preferred with potential for PE.
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

Job Description
Position Overview

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in consulting engineering. The position is responsible for designing the Electrical and Information and Communications Technology Systems, including power distribution, back‑up power systems, lighting and lighting controls, renewable energy and battery storage systems, data networks, nurse call, audio visual systems, DAS, electronic safety & security systems, and more all for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers on some of the most challenging and complex projects in our industry and be an important part of our team. Our ideal candidate is a self‑motivated individual who thrives on helping our team and clients be successful while having a strong technical background. The position will be located onsite in our Minneapolis office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
  • Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements
  • Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
  • Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents
Desired Experience and Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience with MEP design with a focus on technology systems
  • FE registration is preferred with potential for PE
  • RCDD is a plus
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
Salary Range

$100,000 - $130,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
