Job summary

CMTA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to produce complete electrical systems design drawings and solve complex engineering problems. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, along with over 7 years of experience in the field and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code.
  • Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
  • Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions to ensure the objectives of the client are achieved.
  • Establish a strong relationship with the design team.
  • Respond to RFIs and communicate information accurately and in a timely manner.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; PE highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years in the MEP space.
  • Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, electrical engineering standards, and other trades.
  • Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of electrical systems; ability to investigate, identify, and provide solutions to technical problems.
  • Experience in the preparation of technical reports for delivery to a client audience.
  • AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.
