Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team focused on diverse projects with multidisciplinary professionals. The role involves developing construction documents and supporting electrical and building systems across water facilities and other environments.

You will collaborate with clients, perform site visits, and contribute to design, calculations, and specifications while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
• A/E consulting experience is preferred.
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or pursuing licensure encouraged.
• Familiarity with NEC, IBC, and Energy Codes.

Location: Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working with our Electrical Engineering team, you willwork on a large variety of projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Develop technical and construction documentation
• Design and support electrical and building systems
• Conduct site visits and gather field data
• Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders
• Provide construction administration and project support
• Review and prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Support projects from planning and design through construction
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
• Manage project tasks and deliverables
• Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering designs and documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or equivalent)
• Knowledge of the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
• Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or working towards licensure.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, International Building Codes, and Energy Codes.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, Microsoft Office products, Easy Power arc flash hazard analysis software, and lighting design software.
