Job summary

SCCI in Dahlgren, VA seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to DoD programs, including circuit design, PCB layouts, cables, and harnesses, with cross-team collaboration to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in the field, a BS in a technical discipline, and can obtain a DoD clearance. Proficiency with OrCad Cadence, Visio, and SolidWorks is preferred, along with hands-on fabrication and embedded software awareness.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen capable of attaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
• BS degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Seven (7)+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a professional environment.
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering best practices and rapid development processes.
• Hands-on fabrication experience with soldering, cable making, oscilloscope, voltmeter, hand tools, crimpers, and PCB assembly.
• Proven skills in electronic circuits, semiconductors, logic design, schematic capture and PCB layout, cable/harness design, and microprocessors.
• Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems.
• Proficient with PCB design software (OrCad Cadence preferred).
• Proficient with creating cable drawings (Visio preferred).
• Knowledge of Embedded Software design best practices.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to work with changing program requirements.
• Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules.
• Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
