Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician for 1st shift in St. Charles, IL. You will oversee junior staff, assign tasks, and ensure timely, quality maintenance of production equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities include wiring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, analyzing drawings, and keeping accurate records. Strong safety knowledge and adherence to OSHA standards are required; welding and machine shop skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance and repair in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a team and train junior staff.
• Willingness to perform varied tasks including basic machining.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
• Assign maintenance tasks to staff, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and quality.
• Track maintenance costs, manage parts inventory and work orders.
• Install, modify, repair, maintain and test electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain production equipment and associated fixtures per specs.
• Repair machinery such as die cutters, presses, folders, and conveyors using tools.
• Update shift schedules and enter attendance transactions.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper documentation.
