Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy firm, seeks an Electrical Draughtsperson to produce electrical drawings and schematics for diverse projects in East London, Eastern Cape. You will translate concepts with CAD tools while ensuring strict industry standards are met.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with electrical engineers, and adherence to South African codes. You will contribute to power distribution, lighting, earthing, and low‑voltage systems with meticulous attention

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Draughtsperson qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Draughtsperson, preferably in consulting or contracting environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP is essential.
• Familiarity with South African electrical codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics and layouts using CAD software.
• Interpret designs and specifications to create accurate technical documentation.
• Prepare drawings for power distribution, lighting, earthing and low-voltage systems.
• Ensure drawings comply with SANS and other applicable codes.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to review and revise drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control and archiving.
• Assist in the preparation of BOQs based on design drawings.
• Support project team with technical drawing queries and modifications.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy firm, is seeking a skilled Electrical Draughtsperson to join their team in East London, Eastern Cape . This role is essential for producing accurate and detailed electrical drawings and schematics for a diverse range of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure developments. You will work closely with electrical engineers to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings that comply with industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have excellent CAD skills, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and a meticulous approach to detail. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
• Interpret engineering designs and specifications to create accurate technical documentation.

• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and other applicable codes.

• Support the project team with technical drawing queries and modifications.

Requirements
