Syntax Talent Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced electrical drafter to join a busy contractor design team. You will own drawings from concept to coordinated construction drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to deliver buildable designs for high-volume projects.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure compliant drawings, accurate documentation, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate electrical designs and construction drawings that support high-volume commercial and/or industrial projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, compliant, and constructible electrical systems. Your work will have a direct impact on project timelines, quality, and overall client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and draft basic electrical system layouts and details using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Interpret architectural and structural construction drawings and translate them into coordinated electrical designs.
• Prepare and update electrical plans, schematics, schedules, and documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with other disciplines to identify and resolve clashes or inconsistencies.
• Maintain organized project files, drawing registers, and revision histories in line with company standards.
• Communicate design intent and drafting updates clearly with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
• Review and self-check drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and drafting standards.
• Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines in a high-volume design and drafting environment.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a high-volume contractor design and drafting environment, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to design and draft basic electrical systems for construction projects.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of producing accurate, error-free drawings.
• Ability to interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across project teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working within MEP or building services design environments.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and standards.
• Exposure to commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential construction projects.
• Understanding of relevant electrical codes and standards.
• Experience supporting field teams with drawing-related queries or revisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline preferred.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, engineering technology, or similar field considered with relevant experience.
• Formal training or certification in Revit and/or AutoCAD drafting advantageous.
• Ongoing professional development in electrical design, BIM, or construction technology beneficial.
