Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, fault current analysis, and ensure compliance with national electrical codes and standards.
• Design and integrate renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV) into building electrical infrastructure.
• Specify electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, generators, and lighting fixtures.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Conduct site visits for inspection and provide technical support during construction.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for design intent conformity.
• Research and recommend new technologies for electrical system design.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of power system design, distribution, and protection principles.
• Familiarity with building codes, electrical safety standards, and relevant regulations.
• Experience with building management systems (BMS) and smart home technologies is a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
