Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Drafter I to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team in Baton Rouge, LA. The role supports EPC and engineering design projects for data centers, petrochemical, and oil & gas clients.

You will produce high-quality electrical design deliverables from project lead instructions, collaborating with engineers and designers. This position focuses on developing electrical and instrumentation drawings, using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience as an E&I Drafter
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality electrical design deliverables from instructions given by project leads.
• Work closely with engineers, designers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure deliverables meet design requirements.
• Develop electrical and instrumentation drawings in a 3D model environment using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Revit.
• Prepare construction-ready drawings including plans, layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and installation details for electrical systems.
