Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is hiring an Electric Distribution Engineer for our local office to join the Power Distribution Engineering team. You will perform detailed design work including drawings, specifications, and estimates for review by the responsible engineer.

The role may involve directing Designers and Technicians on smaller projects and acting as design lead where appropriate. A valid driver's license is required to drive for project activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated ability with GIS systems, preferably Smallworld or GWD and CAD systems (AutoCAD).
• Ability to handle client and agency contacts related to project design responsibilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures; leadership potential evident.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design Drawings and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and minimal errors.
• Perform design services requiring full understanding of drawings, specs, and company standards.
• Assist in cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
• Acquire on-site field data to complete designs or monitor equipment performance.
