Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks a Distribution Engineer for its local Ohio office to perform detailed design work, prepare drawings and estimates, and support project teams. You will coordinate with staff, acquire on-site data, and ensure designs meet standards.

Qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, experience with GIS (Smallworld/GWD) and AutoCAD, plus a valid driver’s license. TRC offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited program.
Demonstrated ability and/or experience with GIS systems, preferably Smallworld or GWD and CAD systems (AutoCAD).
Ability to handle contacts with clients and other agencies in connection with project design responsibilities.
Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed design work including drawings, specifications, and estimates for review by the responsible engineer.
Provide direction to Designers and Technicians on assigned projects as needed.
Prepare complex drawings with neatness and minimal errors.
Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
Acquire on-site field data to accomplish the design and monitor equipment performance.
