Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Distribution Engineer I to join our Power Distribution engineering team within the Power Sector.

You will perform complex detailed design of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, preparing drawings, specifications, and estimates under supervision. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; EIT preferred or pursuing; 0–2 years of distribution experience; strong client interaction and adherence to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Ability to handle contacts with clients and other agencies in connection with project design responsibilities.
Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures.
Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform to job responsibilities.
0 - 2 years of underground and/or overhead distribution engineering experience; SDG&E experience preferred.
Experience working in field and office preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform complex detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems with drawings and specifications.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and estimates for review by the responsible engineer.
Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
Provide design support across Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, and GIS disciplines.
Shall perform duties with minimal supervision and adhere to company standards.
