Job summary

APS is seeking a Supervisor Construction Maintenance to lead overhead and underground distribution construction and maintenance projects ensuring safe, reliable service to customers. You will coordinate crews, garage staff, and field teams, prioritize work, and drive safety and accountability across multiple work groups while meeting operational goals and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field plus 3 years' experience in design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of electrical facilities.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four-year electrical apprenticeship program Journeyman experience, plus three (3) years' experience in the design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities.
• In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of seven (7) years education and working experience in design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate line crews and servicemen to ensure fully staffed crews and timely construction.
• Minimize customer outages through proper operating and restoration procedures.
• Control construction costs by scheduling resources to maximize productivity while maintaining service.
• Resolve differences via open communication and proper interpretation of policies and labor agreements.
• Maintain fleets and ensure systematic and efficient maintenance programs.
• Promote safety and reduce accidents through meetings and safe work practices.
• Support emergent restoration efforts and after-hours duties as needed.
• May participate in community boards or local events.
