Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Designer for our Oak Ridge, TN office to perform electrical design, lighting design, and related construction documentation for critical facilities. You will develop facility models, prepare plans, one-line diagrams, and BOMs, and contribute to cost estimating and lighting calculations for both indoor and outdoor projects.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of electrical design experience, with knowledge of NEC and short-circuit

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering from a certified institution.
• Four (4) or more years of electrical engineering design experience.
• Construction support experience for Title 3 activities.
• Sole US citizenship required (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations).
• Short Circuit Analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of the NEC.

Responsibilities

• Develop facility models and construction drawings (plans, one-line diagrams, control diagrams, interconnection diagrams, elevations and details, schedules, BOMs).
• Design lighting systems for buildings and outdoor areas, including fixture selection and calculations for normal and emergency lighting.
• Assist with cost estimating and equipment summary for bills of materials.
