Job summary

VAA is seeking an Electrical Designer (Hybrid/Remote) to design electrical power and lighting systems for commercial, industrial, and agribusiness facilities in the New Orleans area. The designer will prepare construction documents and 3D models, working with engineers and project managers to deliver projects.

Responsibilities include creating CAD-ready layouts, coordinating with vendors, and supporting RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or 3+ years of directly related experience.
• Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete construction documents with Engineers and Project Managers.
• Create layout plans, sections, and details to CAD standards and generate 3D models.
• Produce on-line diagrams, power and lighting plans.
• Coordinate designs with team members and product vendors.
• Assist with RFI responses and field questions during construction.
