Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electrical Engineer for our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will perform electrical design and construction support, including site surveys, design development, cost estimating, and coordination of electrical scopes of work for subcontracts.

Responsibilities include NCR disposition, RFIs, DCNs, and field oversight during bidding and construction. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET) with FE license, 3+ years of design experience, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS degree in electrical engineering is required.
FE License is required to practice engineering.
3+ years of electrical design experience in engineering projects.
Construction support experience for Title 3 activities.
US citizenship is required by government-related work.
Experience with short circuit analysis and NEC knowledge.
Experience leading technical discussions with clients.
Ability to author proposals and statements of work is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical engineering design and construction support duties.
Survey existing facilities and scope engineering efforts; prepare estimates.
Develop conceptual design, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Provide NCR disposition, respond to RFIs, and issue DCNs.
Coordinate with Quality, prepare scopes of work for electrical subcontracts.
Support bidding/construction activities, including RFIs, bid reviews, and shop drawings.
Conduct site visits, assist commissioning, host progress meetings, and closeouts.
