Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an entry-level design professional to assist with routine engineering designs under direct supervision. You will help develop conceptual layouts, prepare preliminary designs and material take-offs, and generate detailed calculations, reports, drawings and sketches for various projects.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an associate degree program in design and drafting, with CAD experience (AutoCAD or MicroStation) and proficiency in Word, Excel and

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an Associate degree program for design and drafting; GPA 2.7 or above.
• Familiarity with design standards and codes.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine designs of less complex engineering assignments under direct supervision.
• Assist in developing conceptual layouts and studies to determine efficient approaches.
• Assist in producing preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Produce detailed design calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings and sketches for projects.
• Assist engineers and designers in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.
