Job summary

Glumac in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Electrical Designer to support our electrical discipline across a range of innovative projects. The role focuses on transforming ideas into reliable, constructible electrical designs using advanced BIM tools and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The Electrical Designer will contribute from concept through construction, performing load calculations and equipment sizing, and interfacing with architects, consultants, and code officials.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the Los Angeles, CA office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for diverse projects (commercial, education, healthcare, government, etc.).
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and lighting/control system calculations.
• Collaborate with architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines to deliver a coordinated design.
• Support construction administration tasks, including RFIs and submittals.
• Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
• Work with project teams from concept through construction.
