Job summary

Ben Aris LLC seeks an experienced electrical design professional for heavy industry projects in Mobile, AL. Responsibilities include creating 2D AutoCAD drawings for electrical power and instrumentation, performing field verifications, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to optimize layouts and costs.

The role requires strong knowledge of motor control systems, VFD design, and NEC/arc-flash safety, with 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Well versed in 2D AutoCAD for electrical power and instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and instrumentation design principles.
• Experience with motor control systems and VFD design is essential.
• Thorough understanding of NEC rules, grounding systems, and arc-flash safety.

Responsibilities

• Create or markup drawings to communicate design intent.
• Perform field verification of plant conditions and lay out new equipment.
• Route tray, conduit, or cable to optimize space and resources.
• Check design work for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Design loop sheets, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Support cost estimates, proposals, and construction/startup activity.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to minimize total installed cost.
