Job summary

SSOE, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer in Hillsboro, Oregon, to develop electrical designs for tool installations, power distribution, cleanrooms, and facility upgrades.

You will focus on low-to-medium voltage systems and draw on your AutoCAD skills to create detailed drawings and technical documents. The ideal candidate has experience with distribution panel loading, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, conduit sizing, and cable tray fills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower is a plus.
• Ability to produce power distribution schematics, panel schedules, and other system diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings and technical documentation for tool installations, power distribution, cleanroom environments, and facility upgrades.
• Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing considering loads and environmental variables.
• Assess cable tray fills for proper cable management and future scalability.
• Perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations to ensure safety and reliability.
