Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop electrical designs for tool installations, power distribution, cleanrooms, and facility upgrades in a high-tech manufacturing setting. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes low to medium voltage design, conduit sizing, and detailed documentation, with opportunities to leverage industry-leading tools and collaborate

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Revit, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower is a plus.
• Ability to produce power distribution schematics, panel schedules, lighting and grounding plans.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings and documentation for tool installations, power distribution, cleanroom environments, and facility upgrades.
• Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing based on current loads and environmental variables.
• Assess cable tray fills to ensure proper cable management and future scalability.
• Perform short circuit calculations to determine fault currents and select protective devices.
• Perform voltage drop calculations to ensure system stability and NEC/standards compliance.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
