Ideal candidate has a solid electrical engineering background, licensure or equivalent experience, a customer-focused attitude, and eagerness to learn. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems for multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring NEC and California standards compliance, performing short circuit analysis, and contributing to construction documents

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
• Licensure or comparable work experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Energy Pro, E-Tap or SKM, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Knowledge of NEC, California Energy Efficiency Standards and OSHPD.

Responsibilities

• Electrical system design knowledge for multi-disciplinary projects: Power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and communication systems.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, California Energy Efficiency Standards, and OSHPD Standards.
• Understanding of Short Circuit analysis.
• Understanding of construction documents and project phases (schematic design, DD, CD).
• Knowledge of basic engineering calculations (connected load, demand load, voltage drop).
• Knowledge of electrical system construction.

Job description

We are looking for an electrical engineer / electrical designer to expand our team. Applicants shall have an electrical engineering background (professional licensure, engineering degree, or comparable work experience), strong, customer focused attitude, and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of electrical system design for multi-disciplinary projects: Power distribution systems, lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarm systems, emergency generator / emergency power systems, communication systems.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, California Energy Efficiency Standards, OSHPD Standards
• Understanding of Short Circuit analysis
• Understanding of construction documents and project phases (i.e. schematic design, design development, construction documents).
• Knowledge of basic engineering calculations, including connected load, demand load calculations, equipment protection, voltage drop).
• Knowledge of electrical system construction.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (Preferred emphasis in Power Systems). Will consider other engineering disciplines if the applicant has experience in the electrical industry.
• LEED accreditation / Knowledge of the LEED rating system.
• Proficiency in the following software: AutoCAD, Energy Pro, E-Tap or SKM, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel.
• Applicants should speak, read and write English fluently.
