We are working with a full-service architectural and engineering firm who are looking to add a Senior level Electrical Engineer to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 7+ years experience in design and electrical engineering, who is looking to grow with a company and develop their career across markets.
You will work closely with the leadership team, covering a variety of markets including data centers, commercial, healthcare and industrial to name a few. You will also gain exposure to project leadership and management across small to medium sized projects.

Responsibilities
- Act as a project electrical engineer for the design, development and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm and other auxiliary systems on small to medium-sized projects
- Assist in the design, development and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm and other auxiliary systems on large and complex projects as part of a larger engineering team under a discipline leader
- Research and document any required code review for assigned projects
- Perform product research as required for project development
- Attend project team coordination meetings and Owner review meetings
- Develop materials for client presentations and review meetings
- Present electrical system concepts/designs to clients and/or design review committees
- Develop and edit project specifications
- Review product shop drawings/submittals
- Review and respond to requests for information (RFIs)
- Visit project construction sites to review progress
- Develop construction administration field observation reports
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Complete power system studies, including short circuit, device coordination, and arc flash calculations for assigned projects
- Complete engineering calculations, analysis, and reports, including load calculations, voltage drop, normal and emergency lighting calculations, power quality and harmonics analysis, facility condition assessments, and cost estimates
- Participate in ongoing continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and service. Follow-up with improvement implementation
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) college or university with a degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Significant knowledge and experience in the area of electrical design for commercial construction, building codes and CAD concepts
- Design experience in primary and secondary utility service entrances required, including familiarity with utility company interactions & standards
- Advanced knowledge and experience using computer-aided design, spreadsheets and word processing programs (Microsoft Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams)
- 3+ years experience in Autodesk Revit required
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred, either currently licensed or willing to obtain license
