Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to produce detailed prefabrication drawings, including underground duct banks, racks, room layouts, IT/data layouts, overhead conduit routing, seismic bracing, light fixture layouts, concrete embeds, in-wall devices layouts, and related support methods.

The role requires NEC knowledge, ability to read/building drawings, teamwork, good math skills, reliable transportation, and strong communication. Travel to remote job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEC and applying NEC to design documents.
• Ability to read and interpret construction/building designs.
• Must collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must have basic math skills, dependable transportation, and willingness to commute to remote job sites as needed.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Project Managers and site leadership to determine which systems and assemblies can be prefabricated to improve efficiency during install.
• Obtains and assembles data to complete fabrication drawings, visiting job sites to compile information, as necessary.
• Reads, interprets, and modifies designs.
• Prepares and creates clear, complete, and accurate plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches/notes, contract documents, contract changes and/or bid specifications.
• Work with Revit and Evolve plugins for fabrication drawings.
• Utilize Navisworks for BIM reviews.
• Utilizes Bluebeam efficiently and creates assembly fabrication drawings.
• Perform project estimates in Accubid Anywhere.
• Travel to job sites and assist with installation when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
