Job summary

Ace Electric is seeking an Electrical Designer to create detailed fabrication drawings for prefabrication and layouts including underground duct banks, electrical rooms, IT/data rooms, and seismic bracing. You will collaborate with project managers, read and modify designs, and produce clear plans using Revit and related tools.

The position requires four years of relevant trade experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may prefer a technical electrical degree or apprenticeship background.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with NEC and applying NEC in design documents.
• Ability to read and interpret construction/building designs.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must have basic math skills and be willing to commute to remote sites.
• Effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and site leadership to determine prefabrication options.
• Assemble data to complete fabrication drawings from field info.
• Read, interpret and modify designs.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings from sketches and contract docs.
• Work with Revit, Evolve plugins and Navisworks for BIM/fabrication tasks.
• Use Bluebeam to create fabrication drawings and reviews.
• Assist with project estimates in Accubid Anywhere.
• Travel to job sites as needed and assist installation.
