Black & Veatch is seeking an Engineering Technician in Houston to support engineering teams by creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and project deliverables using CAD/BIM and 3D modeling tools.

The role involves applying BV Quality Program standards, potential mentorship to junior staff, and collaboration across disciplines to ensure accurate outputs for complex infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Learn and apply BV Quality Program standards to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship where applicable.
• Create and develop deliverables from various design inputs.
• Coordinate deliverables with other groups to minimize interference and errors.
• Perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
