Job summary

Cushing Terrill in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support our Electrical Engineering team on real client projects. This in-person internship builds foundational electrical engineering skills through hands-on design work.

You will develop design documents using Revit and AutoCAD, participate in site visits with project leads, and learn building codes and safety standards within a collaborative, multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of an electrical engineering or related undergraduate program
• Basic knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members across disciplines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support the design of electrical systems, including low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution
• Build Revit and AutoCAD skills through hands-on electrical design work
• Learn and apply building codes and safety standards to project design
• Complete individually tailored training sessions on electrical systems design, lighting, and emerging technologies
• Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines on active projects
• Attend site visits with project leads when opportunities allow
• Gain exposure to the variety of project types and teams across the firm
