Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and document low to medium voltage switchgear and power distribution systems on-site in Utah.

You will ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards, review customer specifications, collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers and manufacturing teams, and maintain documentation, draft diagrams, and manage changes through submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Three+ years in switchgear or power distribution design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, E-Plan and Microsoft software.
• Strong understanding of electrical protection and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document low to medium voltage switchgear and power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, UL, NEMA and other standards.
• Review customer specifications and provide technical input during submittal, production and post-shipment.
• Create and revise engineering drawings using CAD software and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical designers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
