Job summary

AWC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to help build our low-voltage power systems.

You will design MCCs, switchboards, and switchgear, and lead standardization efforts for a scalable manufacturing program centered on Siemens TIASTAR components. The role combines engineering work with collaboration with customers and fabrication teams to ensure practical, manufacturable, and high-quality designs that meet UL and NEC requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience designing low-voltage electrical power systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor control, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams, control schematics, customer specifications, and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design complete low-voltage MCCs, switchboards, and switchgear to meet customer specs and project requirements.
• Engineer MCC lineups, replacement buckets, retrofit assemblies, and custom modifications for existing installations.
• Develop standardized MCC bucket designs and engineered solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Create one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
