Job summary

AWC, Inc. is seeking a multi-skilled Control Systems Drafter/Designer to develop and execute instrumentation and electrical design packages for industrial automation projects.

You will work on PLC, SCADA, DCS, MCC, and control applications, creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD and EPLAN, with a focus on low-voltage power distribution. The role is hybrid, requiring occasional office presence near Houston, TX or other listed locations, and involves

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical design or controls engineering.
• Experience reading P&IDs, control narratives, and engineering standards.
• Familiarity with NEC, ISA, API, PIP, UL, and NEMA standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project requirements to develop accurate control system drawings.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Design low-voltage power distribution and PLC control panels.
• Collaborate with engineers, panel shops, and field technicians.
