Job summary

AWC is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop and standardize low-voltage power systems, including MCCs, switchboards, and switchgear, for national manufacturing expansion. You will work with customers, manufacturers, and our fabrication team to ensure designs meet UL/NEC standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Design low-voltage electrical power systems
• Experience designing MCCs, switchboards, and low-voltage switchgear
• Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams and customer specifications
• Working knowledge of NEC and UL standards

Responsibilities

• Design complete low-voltage MCCs, switchboards, and switchgear to meet customer specs
• Engineer MCC lineups, replacement buckets, retrofit assemblies, and custom modifications
• Develop standardized MCC bucket designs to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Create one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
• Support transition from AutoCAD Electrical to EPLAN and establish engineering standards
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, customer specs, and product-listing requirements
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers throughout project execution
• Provide technical support to fabrication teams during assembly, testing, and commissioning
