Job summary

IEM seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design low and medium voltage power systems and serve as the main technical interface for assigned equipment. You will create BOMs and drawing packages, support testing and commissioning, and collaborate with mechanical design and field service teams to ensure successful factory outputs and customer outcomes.

This role requires strong communication, a solid grasp of electrical engineering principles, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Field service experience is a big plus.
• Industrial automation experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Create bill of materials and drawing packages for manufacture for equipment of moderate complexity.
• Independently performs design, troubleshooting and commissioning functions as needed.
• Support production during manufacturing and testing by answering technical inquiries.
• Work with mechanical designers to layout switchgear and switchboards.
• Select components and create detailed bills of materials.
• Write sequence of operation documents for automatic system functionality.
• Collaborate with test and field service teams to verify system operation.
• Support equipment demonstrations in the factory with hands-on technical guidance.
• Perform design tasks to support products and customer goals.
• Assist sales and project management with design-related questions.
• Complete short field assignments as required.
