Job summary

GPAC, in partnership with an industry leader in equipment manufacturing, seeks an innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Boston. You will design electrical systems, develop PCB schematics, and optimize for manufacturability and testing, bridging concept to production.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in electrical design; proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical; strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proficient with CAD tools: AutoCAD Electrical, Altium, OrCAD or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, PCB fabrication, and electrical testing methods.
• Analytical skills including simulations, FMEA, and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, control systems, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and yields.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and fixtures.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to integrate components.
• Evaluate obsolescence, perform root-cause analysis, and drive quality improvements.
• Ensure electrical designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
