Job summary

gpac is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to bridge concept and production in an industrial setting. You will design electrical systems, develop PCB layouts and schematics, and optimize designs for manufacturability while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to bring products from prototype to full-scale manufacturing, manage BOMs and documentation, and support ongoing product line improvements with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical).
• Strong understanding of DFM principles, PCB fabrication, and electrical testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, control systems, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and high assembly yields.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical prototypes; develop test fixtures and analyze performance data.
• Create and maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical components into product designs.
• Support legacy and new product lines by evaluating obsolescence, root-cause failure analysis, and continuous quality improvements.
• Ensure all electrical designs meet industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
