Job summary

Crusoe in Denver is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design for modular data centers from concept through construction and commissioning. You will bridge Crusoe's design team, manufacturing, and site partners, adapting designs to each deployment while ensuring high reliability.

This role requires NEC/NFPA/IEEE knowledge, 7+ years of data-center experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit and power-system tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of electrical design experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA/IEEE standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience taking designs through construction and field troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for modular data center deployments (MV/LV, UPS, generators, switchboards, RPPs).
• Convert site designs from schematic to construction-ready sets and review drawings against Basis of Design.
• Audit short-circuit, protection, arc-flash, and load-flow studies.
• Develop installation details for modular electrical systems and support R&D roadmap.
• Resolve RFIs and Field Engineering Directives during construction.
• Support commissioning with CX team, reviewing procedures and results.
• Capture lessons learned to inform design templates.
• Be an electrical safety champion with partners.
