Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for mining equipment, power distribution, and control applications.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control panel layouts.
• Perform electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, and equipment specification.
• Ensure all designs comply with mining safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, site personnel, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems during installation and operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, VFDs, and motor control.
• Knowledge of mining-specific electrical safety standards and practices is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, requiring both remote work and periodic site visits.
