Job summary

HFA is a 100% employee-owned multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and interior architecture firm that delivers electrical design leadership for small to medium projects, focusing on power, lighting, NEC compliance, and energy codes.

As Electrical Engineer II, you will collaborate with clients and cross-disciplinary teams, perform advanced calculations, develop construction documents, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and, when approved, serve as Engineer of Record on select projects.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited program is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
• Experience leading electrical design on projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical designs for small to medium projects and portions of larger ones.
• Develop construction documents and specifications with minimal oversight.
• Perform advanced calculations and quality control, ensuring NEC compliance.
• Manage project budgets and serve as Engineer of Record on select projects when approved.
• Mentor less experienced staff and train teams on company standards.
• Coordinate with Architects and other Engineers to develop design solutions.
