Job summary

Interface Engineering, a 100% employee-owned firm, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer II/III (MEP) in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week) to lead electrical design across multiple projects.

You will own the discipline, coordinate documents, meet with clients, mentor junior staff, and contribute to project management while enjoying ESOP and robust benefits.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering required
  • 2+ years' MEP design and consulting experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building codes and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines and work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design on multiple projects as a discipline lead
  • Coordinate document delivery and reviews
  • Meet with clients and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Support overall project management within the MEP team

Key Responsibilities:

As anElectrical Design Engineer II/III at Interface, you will be taking ownership as a discipline lead on multiple projects. Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Innovative and complex electrical system design
  • Document delivery coordination
  • Meeting and consulting with clients
  • Providing guidance to junior design staff
  • Providing exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients
  • Supporting overall project management to our MEP team leaders
What You’ll Bring:
Required
  • BS, Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years' MEP design and consulting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electrical building codes and standards
  • Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred
  • A Professional Engineering License
  • LEED Accreditation
  • Working IES-VE knowledge
