Job summary

Interface Engineering Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer I (MEP) in Chicago, IL on a hybrid schedule, with two days in the office.

You will support preliminary electrical design and layout, document delivery coordination, and load calculations under a mentor. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and 0–2 years of MEP/AEC design experience, with the ability to learn building codes and work collaboratively.

Qualifications

• BS, Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2 years’ experience in MEP/AEC building design.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

What You’ll Bring

Required

• BS, Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2 years’ experience in MEP/AEC building design.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred

• Working knowledge of Revit MEP.
• Interest in obtaining PE or EIT.
• Interest in becoming LEED accredited.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
