Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with EIT/PE to join our hybrid team in New York. You will design electrical power and lighting systems for institutional and commercial buildings using Revit and AutoCAD, and lead projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, 6-8+ years of experience in engineering consulting, and strong communication skills. Building code familiarity and mentoring abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP projects.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT or PE license desired.
• Experience with electrical power and lighting for institutional or commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure project quality.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Local Building Codes & Standards.
• Provide strong technical leadership on project teams.
