Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in NYC (Hybrid) with 6–10+ years of experience. You will design electrical systems, develop drawings and calculations, and coordinate with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines on diverse projects including commercial and public sectors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) with EIT/PE preferred. Revit/BIM skills and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or University.
• EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer preferred (or ability to gain reciprocity).
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Proficient in Revit Software and BIM.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types.
• Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings and calculations.
• Coordinate with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Contribute to projects in Commercial, Public Sector, K-12, Higher Education, Justice, and Civic sectors.
