Job summary

Techserv, an in-office engineering team in Texas, seeks an Engineer to lead electrical design for distribution, transmission, and substation projects. You will apply engineering concepts, manage design packages, and maintain client relationships.

You will collaborate with project teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure QA/QC across deliverables while adhering to codes and safety requirements. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering; eligible to work in the United States.
• FE certification preferred; EIT eligible.
• 0-2 years for Associate Engineer; 3-6 years for Engineer; 7+ years for Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineer interface with clients and manage projects.
• Use CAD software to meet client requirements and design standards.
• Apply electrical engineering concepts for distribution, transmission, and substations.
• Coach junior engineers and collaborate with designers on client needs.
• Prepare data sheets, cost-effective package specs, and RFQs.
• Ensure QA/QC and adhere to codes, standards, and safety.
